Learn the tune and chords by ear first. Also learn melody with the lyrics, because it helps understand the phrasing and shaping of the melody

​

Learn in all keys and different tempos. Don't be afraid to learn these tunes really slowly. Youtube feature allows you to slow down or speed up the video without changing the pitch.

​

All these tunes are standards you'd expect to hear at jam sessions, a lot of these tunes involve functional harmony that can be heard over a wide variety of Jazz standards.

You will find at the bottom, suggested listening of the original version of the tune, and also different versions.

​

Photo of the lead sheet is also included, but try learning the tune by ear first.

​
